Bridge the Gap to Uganda, Fair Trade Bees

June 20th, 2012

Let’s get one thing straight. This episode is not about Fair Trade Bees. It’s about bees that want to kill Chris Bashinelli. The bees are part of KiBwana’s apiary- a honey business he’s started thanks to the money he’s made from selling Fair Trade Vanilla. Yup! The same vanilla you eat in your Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream.

    Hi Chris,
I am one of the students you spoke to at the GCAP conferences. I was really amazed at your stories and am so glad i went. I am in the process of watching your episodes on your website, but i was wondering what channel and when bridge the gap would be on tv. Thanks, and i really appreciate your inspiring work.
    Sincerely,
    Beckey

    • Hi Beckey!

Thanks for your kind words and we’re happy to share Chris’ adventures with you. We currently do not have a set time slot/channel for national television, but we will be sure to keep everyone updated when this does happen.

  • Hey Chris & Team,
I was one of the students at the Youth Grantmakers Conference that Chris spoke at in MI. I’ve noticed that you guys only seem to have roughly 500 viewers and followers on your youtube and facebook pages (which is surprising).
From my knowledge of marketing, you would probably end up with more business sponsors the more your audience increases. Would you like us to start posting and sharing about how awesome you guys are?

    • PS Later on during the conference, a group of us started talking about value-driven businesses and whatnot. We’re talking about ways to increase the values of existing businesses and spread the word about Kiva & Microfinancing!

      Thanks for what you do!

And Kiva, keep supporting this guy!

    • Josh,
